If a member — or their family — needs a record of an agent's historical sales in MLS Now, you can look this up directly in Matrix using the agent's MLS ID. Here's how.
Step 1: Open a Cross Property Search
Log in to Matrix and go to Search > Cross Property.
Use Cross Property rather than a specific property type search so you capture all listing types (Residential, Commercial, Land, etc.) in one search. If the person has a specific property type in mind, you can narrow it down — but when in doubt, Cross Property gives you the most complete picture.
Step 2: Set Status to "Sold"
In the Status – Date or Range section, check Sold only. Leave all other statuses unchecked.
Step 3: Leave the Date Range Blank
Leave the date fields next to the status blank. A blank date range means all time — Matrix will return every sold record it has on file for that agent, going back as far as the data goes.
Step 4: Add the AgentMLSID Field
Scroll down to the Additional Fields section and click Add/Remove. Search for and add the field called AgentMLSID.
Once the field appears, enter the agent's MLS ID number.
Step 5: Run the Search
Click Results to see all sold listings associated with that agent ID.
Important: Agents May Have More Than One MLS ID
Some agents held multiple MLS IDs over their career — for example, one ID as an agent and a separate ID as a broker. If the search results seem incomplete, check whether the agent had additional IDs.
You can enter multiple IDs in the AgentMLSID field by separating them with a comma. This will pull sold listings associated with any of the IDs entered, giving you a more complete history.
Tip: When helping someone look up a long career's worth of sales, always ask if they know all the MLS IDs the agent may have had. Missing an ID can mean missing a significant portion of their history.
